Unfunded non-cladding safety defects should be completed as part of remediation programmes

This will prevent firms having to return to complete further work.  On 22^nd July, Lord Roe, Chair of the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), told a Q&A session with the media that, while this could be “painful”, it was better for both landlord and residents to complete the work in one go.  The BSR also expects to find issues unrelated to cladding when it examines fire safety measures in existing blocks as part of the process of granting a fire safety certificate.
