Rough sleeping in London was down by 10% in the year to June 2026

The number of people recorded as sleeping rough in the capital between April and June fell from 4,392 in 2025 to 3,959 in 2026.  According to CHAIN homelessness data published on 31st July, the number of people sleeping rough for the first time in the quarter was down by 16% to 1,685, while the number classed as living on the streets was down by 14% to 680.
