Sanctuary is in dispute with leaseholders over service charges at a retirement scheme in Greater Manchester

This concerns service charges dating back to 2020/21 at the St Andrew's Court scheme in Altrincham, which the organisation inherited through its merger with Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust in January 2025, with a total estimated value of £650,000.  At a preliminary issue hearing on 29th July, Judge Hadley denied a request from Sanctuary for certain items to be  declared out of the jurisdiction of the tribunal because they were funded via the deferred sinking fund.  A further hearing will take place later in 2026.
