Data has started to emerge on Gateway 3 applications for existing buildings

In the twelve weeks to 1st August, the BSR determined 29 Gateway 3 applications with an approval rate of 72% and a median determination time of 16 weeks.  While no new-build projects had reached Gateway 3 by this date, the BSR had received a total of 319 Gateway 3 applications, including 235 internal refurbishments, 47 transitional cases (legacy projects that reverted to the BSR when the original building control body overseeing the project ceased trading), and 23 NHS internal refurbishments.
