[Investment in regeneration]

In August, Homes England announced that it had awarded £27.7million to unlock the regeneration of Riverside Sunderland.  This will enable the transformation of a former industrial site to be used for more than 350 homes.  An additional £10million is being invested by the North East Mayor.
