Standard templates covering affordable housing requirements on medium-sized sites have been issued for consultation

The four templates, which apply to housing developments of between ten and 49 homes and with an area of up to 2.5 hectares, are “expected to become the default for applications in the future”.  These were published alongside national Section 106 affordable housing engagement guidance, which was developed jointly by the NHF, the CIH, the Home Builders Federation, and the Chartered Institute of Housing.  This "represents a shared commitment by home builders, local authorities and housing associations to work together to deliver social and affordable homes through early engagement, transparency and collaboration across the Section 106 process".
