Affordable housing in new towns will be funded from the SAHP

This was confirmed by Alison Crofton of Homes England at a session with the House of Lords Built Environment Committee on 30^th June.  Ms Crofton accepted that the initial bidding round for the SAHP had been oversubscribed, although this had been expected.  She also highlighted that the National Housing Bank had introduced products to better support small and medium enterprises, including an accelerator to enable smaller developers to build multiple sites at once.
