There are calls a new version of the Help to Buy to be introduced

In July, in an interview with Inside Housing, Deputy Mayor London Tom Copley said that the government should consider this policy.  This would help to mitigate the impact of low demand for house purchase in the capital, which is holding back residential development.  While accepting that Help to Buy was “not without its problems”, Mr Copley said that action needed to be taken to increase access to the housing market.
