The BSR is updating its approach to processing building assessment certificates

This will provide greater support for duty holders while maintaining high standards of building safety.  On 9^th July, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) said that the new approach would be more proportionate, targeted, intelligence-led, and risk-based.  During a transition period, while future processes are being finalised, the BSR will concentrate on working through existing applications.  The agency commented that applications often fail because they focus solely on compliance, rather than the effective management of safety.
