This includes a requirement for consistent information standards, which will support automated information exchange as well as increased trust and faster and cheaper safety assurance. In its response to a consultation on the proposals, published on 9th July, the government confirmed that the SCR will oversee buildings, products and professional regulation, as well as taking over the functions currently delivered by the Building Safety Regulator. |
