The MHCLG is consulting on plans for relief from the CIL for developments in London

Views are sought on the draft regulations to implement the policy, which include relief from 50% of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) for schemes with 20% affordable housing.  Higher relief will be available for those with a higher proportion of affordable housing.  The regulations also set out a specific clawback method when developers fail to deliver on their agreements, such as starting schemes within the qualifying period, or if the amount of affordable housing pledged is reduced.  The consultation closes on 18^th September.
