Arrangements to comply with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS)

The organisation has plans in place for its housing stock to achieve full compliance with the the current iteration of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) within a reasonable timescale.  This includes the Addendum to the WHQS that came into force on 1st April 2026, which requires social landlords to investigate:

  • Hazards with an assessed likelihood of imminent harm to the resident within 24 hours
  • All other Housing Health and Safety Rating System hazards, except overcrowding, within ten working days, remedying them within a further five working days if they present a potential significant risk to tenants and result from disrepair that is within the landlord’s control.
