Arrangements for compliance with the updated Decent Homes Standard

The organisation has reviewed its asset management strategy to ensure that sufficient resources and effective arrangements are in place to attain full compliance with the updated Decent Homes Standard by 1st April 2035.  This requires homes to: 

  • Be free of Category 1 hazards under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System
  • Be in a reasonable state of repair, including all key building components
  • Provide core facilities and services, such as kitchens, bathrooms, noise insulation, and child-resistant window restrictors
  • Meet the requirements of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES)
  • Be free of damp and mould.
