If the organisation has one or more heat networks, it has reviewed its asset management plans and budgets in the light of the requirements of the proposed Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS). This will require:
- Identifying which heat networks are in scope and whether they are “new” or “existing”
- Evidence of compliance with core technical requirements, including required temperatures, insulation levels, metering, monitoring and “key failures to be avoided”
- New build networks to pass HNTAS assessments at key gateways
- Certification from an approved certifier based on assessments by registered assessors.
