The organisation’s housing stock is subject to a stock condition survey on a rolling programme, with data collected at least every five years, or more frequently if material risks are identified.  These surveys:

• Have an appropriate scope, including thorough process to detect and record the presence of damp and mould
• Specifically confirm whether each home complies with regulatory standards, including the Decent Homes Standard / Welsh Housing Quality Standard
• Cover at least 30-years to support long-term financial forecasting
• Ensure that all properties are surveyed within a reasonable timescale
• Incorporate effective data validation checks.

To ensure that stock condition data remains comprehensive, accurate and up to date, it is updated between surveys when opportunities allow, including following cyclical maintenance, void works or responsive repairs.  Data is also collected and maintained on any vulnerabilities of the residents of each home and this is taken into account when specifying and prioritising repair work.
